Snetterton 300 - 26th September 2020
A wet & windy Raceday saw a few qualifying surprises with just one dry-ish lap leading to Innes sitting on Pole followed by the FWD cars of Pellin & Kite.
Class C & D leaders , Osman (E30 320is) & Colley (E30 325i) were not far behind in 5th & 6th. Leading Class E driver , Stephen Lane, lined up in 25th with sole Class B entrant, John Lyne (E36 328i) in 12th.
Race 1 started in rain and standing water, handing the advantage to FWD cars. Innes locked up at Hamilton on Lap 1, letting Pellin & Kite pull away for the race duration, with Pellin taking the win by 4 seconds from Kite with Innes 3rd. Class B man Lyne drove up 7 places to 5th, followed by Rodber, Class C (BMW E90 325i), who, with an effective launch off the line found himself 4th by the 3rd corner from 12th on the grid; only to be outgunned later into 6th. Mark Giglio won Class D (Clio) as Colley speared off before the 1st corner. Class E was won by Lewis Turner (Saxo) with a brave fight from the back of the grid.
Race 2 saw wet but drying conditions leading to victory for Kite (Vento) followed by Innes & Burnett (E36 M3's), with Rodber again winning Class C, by a mere 0.577secs from Osman and Giglio & Turner again taking D & E honours. Pellin failed to start race 2 after mechanical woes.
On to Donington Park 8th November for the season finale.
